ok i don't even know where to start.
multiple people are saying HAGER is NOT doing the show. something happened at a motel. details are still fuzzy but it's been reported — spotted at a motel, not moving, some kind of breakdown situation. nobody is saying exactly what went down but the word 'motel' keeps showing up in every version of this story.
and then TONIGHT the new lineup drops and it's got BIG METAL DAVE on it.

i'm not saying big metal dave is bad. i'm saying this is the abomination lineup and we all know it. hager was THE piece. the whole reason half the people i know bought tickets. this isn't the show we thought it was.

- the MOTEL part is what i keep getting stuck on. like what does that even mean. someone tell me something also big metal dave is fine but come on. we know what this was supposed to be.
- "abomination lineup" is the most accurate thing i've read all year and i hate that it applies here hager was why THREE of my crew bought in. gonna have some phone calls to make.

- hold on hold on got more info. it was NOT a motel. it was a MOTOR. as in car motor. as in hager's car broke down on the highway. somebody read "motor breakdown" and their brain turned it into "motel breakdown" and now the whole internet thinks a man had a mental collapse at a super 8 he's fine. he's stuck on the side of a road somewhere with a blown engine. situation is being handled. there is no motel.

- guys my friend's cousin was literally IN THE AREA. it was 100% a motor breakdown. the man was on the 480 with smoke coming out of his hood. there was no motel. the motel thing started because someone autocorrected "motor" in a group chat and it spread before anyone could stop it motel truthers are WRONG and i will die on this hill MOTOR. CAR. HIGHWAY. NO MOTEL.

- i've been sitting with all of this for a couple hours and i'm starting to come around on the "abomination lineup" thing. hear me out. if hager was always going to be the unstable piece — and clearly he was, whether it was today or six months from now — and big metal dave is who you get instead... is this not just the lineup as it was meant to be? some of the names on that poster make MORE sense together without hager in the mix anyway. different energy. tighter maybe. i'm not saying the hager situation isn't a whole thing. i'm saying the rest of it might actually hit harder than we expected. i'm reconsidering.

- grew up on big metal dave's early output. if this is his full return to a stage that deserves him i don't care how we got here. goat behavior. complete endorsement. show is going to be different than we thought and different is going to be better
